Associate Director
Rachel K. Slaton is the founding associate camp director of URJ 6 Points Sports Academy - California and a member of FJC's Yitro IV Cohort. She has dedicated her professional life to ensuring that every Jewish child has access to Jewish education and meaningful Jewish connections, whether at a day school, through community engagement, or Jewish summer camps. Rachel is also a former NCAA DIII Student-Athlete, All-Conference Team selection, and has been coaching club volleyball for over 10 years. While she never attended Jewish summer camp as a child (opting for sports camps instead), she spent summers in college working at URJ Camps Swig and Newman and several years working for Camp Young Judaea-TX before pursuing double masters' degrees in Jewish non-profit management from HUC-JIR Zelikow School and Public Administration from the University of southern california.
