Chana Rothman

Musician-in-Residence
Chana Rothman is a Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter/educator. She began her Jewish music career at summer camp, where she fell in love with songleading. Over 20 years and zillions of camps later, she is still singing with people of all ages in all kinds of places from classrooms to synagogues to protests. Chana loves working with Foundation for Jewish Camp and is thrilled to be at Leaders Assembly this year. One recent project, 3 Songs for Justice, is a collaboration with singer/songwriters Isaac Zones and Eliana Light: soul-lifting, singable songs for today's troubled world. Her album, Rainbow Train, is a danceable revolution about freedom of gender and self-expression. Chana uses music as a form of connection, justice, and community building, whether at home with her family or out in the wide world. Most of all, Chana enjoys singing, playing, laughing, and dancing together with people of all ages. www.chanarothman.com
