https://zoom.us/j/806580093 Few environments are as impactful for the strength of Jewish life and community than our camping system. At the same time, and while North America remains one of the safest places in the world to be Jewish, we are confronting the reality of daily acts of harassment, intimidation, and – in certain cases – violence.
For these reasons, ensuring a professional, consistent, best-practice approach to safety and security in our camping environments is recognized – more than ever – as not merely a requirement, but a responsibility: to address risk management and liability issues as well as, most importantly, to protect our children and those who are dedicated to their betterment.
This session will explore an overview of safety and security issues in the camping environment as well as best practices – from facility to staff preparedness and communication strategies, with an emphasis on effective, low-cost/no-cost solutions.
